Hello,

I will try to find and recommend something for you.

But here is some info on this and that which may be helpful for you.

"This" is used to talk about something that is near you, and "that" for something that is away from you.

For example:

Would you jus look at this photo! (Probably I am holding this photo. Or I may be very close to it)
Just look at that boy! He’s smoking a cigarette! (The boy is not standing near me).

Another common mistake is when the determiner does not watch with the noun(s).

This boy (one boy near me).
That boy (one boy far away from me).
These boys (two or more boys that are near me).
Those boys (two or more boys that are far away from me).

I hope this help for a start. :)

Any questions are welcome.

Nikita

Hello,

And here is another difference between “this” and “that” for you.

“This” refers to the future.

Example: Would you listen to this? (I’m going to put a CD on for you.)

“That” refers to the past.

Example: What was that? (After you heard a strange noise.)

Good luck!

Nikita

Hello again,

And “this” and “that” can also mean something like “so”.

For example:

It wasn’t that difficult to do. (It wasn’t so difficult to do.)
I had no idea it would be this hot. (I had no idea it would be so hot.)

Cheerio. :)
